I Think I’ll Love You For A Long Time

Maybe I am just a sucker for love, a happy ending, or romance in general BUT do weddings not put you in the best mood? I love LOVE.

With that being said, I am going to do a recap of the weddings that I had in 2021. I had 15 weddings this past year!! I’m sorry… WHAT!! I could not love my job more – there really is nothing better than taking pretty pictures and eating yummy food!!

Each wedding is so unique. They come in all shapes and sizes.

There are small weddings and big weddings. Modern weddings and Boho weddings.

There is pizza and beer or a 4 course meal! Trust me, I am not picky when it comes to food! I am what they call, a foodie. Any food is great as long as it is what the bride and groom love!

There are big family pictures, and small family pictures.

There is a lot of dancing, or there is mingling! Sometimes there is both!

There are special dances, funny games, and a whole lot of laughter.

Weddings just have a way of bringing people together.

One of my favorite things to photograph of a wedding is obviously the bride and groom, but also the people surrounding them. These people have built the bride and groom into who they are. They have loved them, cared for them, laughed with them.

Brides – here is a tip for you. Enjoy the day. This is going to be one of the most special days of your entire life. Soak it all in. It goes by quicker than you can ever imagine. Let the stress fall on me, the wedding planner, the DJ, the caterer, the videographer. Literally anyone BUT you! Put on the matching robes, grab your mimosa glass, and just sit back and love every second. You are about to marry the love of your life. YAY!

Grooms – here is a tip for you. Do not brag to your soon to be wife that you get to wake up at 11am on your wedding day when she is up at 6am getting her hair done. Enjoy the time you get to spend with your buddies. You are also about to marry the love of your life. Let that soak in. There has been so much work put into this day that you should also take a breath and have fun.

The more weddings that I photograph make me realize why I do what I do.

I can tell you what is at every wedding that I have photographed to this date. Love. There is so much love. Not only the bride and groom. There is love with the mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, friends. All the love squished into one room.
