“Why do you like shooting weddings so much? That would stress me out!”
I’ve been asked this question so many times- I’ve lost count.
If you know me, you know I’m a highly emotional person. I feel things a little too deeply. I get excited over very little things. I tear up at so many ceremonies… and sad commercials.
The truth is: weddings can be chaotic. But most of the time, a wedding day is just brimming with emotion. Raw, authentic emotion on display. You go through nervousness, excitement, tears of joy, utter bliss, and straight party mode. And it energizes me. I want to capture it ALL.
Most of all, weddings give me hope. There is so much bad in this world but a wedding day is a day where people gather to celebrate and rejoice the love between two people. It’s a day of pure happiness.
So no, wedding days don’t really stress me out. I put my full creative self into my couples’ day and I leave feeling emotionally spent… but so thankful I get to witness it all.
Most of my weddings aren’t stressful because of the amazing clients I book and the wonderful vendors they hire. Special shout-out to all the venues, planners, and coordinators out there who make dreams come true… and my days as a Missouri wedding photographer incredibly easier.
Another reason my weddings aren’t stressful is because there are a lot of boring things that go on behind the scenes here: systems and checklists. See…boring! But, the systems, checklists, education, and training that I’ve strategically put into place are what allow all the emotion and organic moments of the wedding day to be captured.
Here are just a few things that I’ve always got covered – behind the scenes- to ensure that YOU get the best ME on your wedding day:
Bailey Morris of Morris Imagery is a wedding photographer from Lebanon, Missouri. She loves telling stories through authentic imagery and catching those unexpected in-between moments that turn into favorite photos. You can connect with Bailey here.
