2024 Wedding Trends for Missouri Weddings and Beyond

Couples are seeking innovative ways to make their wedding day memorable. In 2024 wedding trends will continue to embrace originality while also welcoming timeless elegance in overall design and the small details.

There are a few global 2024 wedding trends that I just know my midwestern woo girls will flawlessly execute over the next year, as I’ve already seen a few of these trends from behind my lens.

Nature-Inspired Themes
The push to embrace the outdoors continues and for good reason. There is nothing like the contrast of stark & crisp wedding attire against the beauty of the natural world. Couples are gravitating towards outdoor venues, or venues that invite the outdoors in with large windows and airy layouts. 2024 weddings will use lush greenery, arches, and earthy color palettes to connect the formality of the wedding day with the outdoors.

Minimalist Elegance
Elegance never goes out of style, but it can also take many forms. In 2024, minimalist elegance is about simplicity of decor and attire. It includes clean lines, neutral color palettes, and understated decor. Think about a timeless and sophisticated atmosphere. A wedding that truly highlights the couple and the love they share on their wedding day.

Bold and Vibrant Pops of Color
Elegance can also be energetic and joyful with intentionally planned pops of color. 2024 weddings will include bold and vibrant hues. This is a great chance to bring personality to the nuptials or the reception. And of course, as a photographer, I love the chance to put all those choices in their best light to create a wedding photo gallery that reflects your unique vibe.

The Subtle Polish of a Pearl
There is almost nothing more timeless than a pearl. The first known fragment of pearl jewelry is on display in the Lourve in Paris and dates back to 420 BC. Pearls have always been a status symbol and although now accessible, they are still just as elegant. 2024 brides will embrace the subtle, reflective, elegance of pearl jewelry.

Dreamy Veils
Another timeless, classic and elegant trend that hits big in 2024 weddings is the veil. Although it’s considered a very traditional bridal accessory, modern brides are embracing the romantic and ethereal qualities of the veil. And I have to say, it is a wedding photographer’s dream!
